Y4 Youths group have organised a First Aid Course recently for the members of the community thanks to funding received from the community lottery funding in October 2024 and the members of the group have learned a lot attending this First Aid course and also knowing how important First Aid course is and how life's can be saved with the first aid skills.
The Y4 Youths group was established in 2004 and has gone from strength to strength with organising First Aid courses, Local events, Weekend trips and activities for the local community at Kingsway Sports Centre, Rochdale every Sundays from 10.00am - 12pm
This group has helped all age groups with organising different events and taking on regular members who participate and help out with these events and activities, the regular members always look forward to attending the regular football sessions, fitness sessions, basket ball, cricket, track running, circuit runs each week, either in the Sports Hall or outside in the all weather pitches and circuit track, these events are opened to all age group who are all welcome to participate in all our events and activities and become part of the group.
Ejaz Khan who runs the group couldn't thank the community lottery funding enough for the contribution they made to the group he stated "Community Lottery Funding has made a lot of difference for the group and all our members, we have regular members now who enjoy coming every week and are always looking forward to being involved with the groups events and activities, we have a member who has autism and he enjoys all the events he attends every week.
We are also organising trips to Lake Districts and Wales in August and September this year for all our members in the group and anyone who would like to join the group and want to attend the trips are most welcome.
This is very important for our group bonding and gives group members opportunity to take part in outdoor activities like Kayaking, long walks around the lakes, exploring Hills in Wales or even just a stroll around the lovely countryside in Wales.
